About Our Program

Unity Career Institute is a private healthcare training school approved by Delaware Department of Education. We offer affordably priced tuition and payment plans. a state approved curriculum, job and career transition assistance, 2-10 week courses. Our class list includes; Home Health aide, Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician and CPR Certification.

Unity Career Institute's Nursing Assistant Programme is a 5-week course designed to teach and prepare nursing assistant students to safely perform the basic nursing skills needed to work under the supervision of a licensed/registered nurse in a health care setting.

The programme curriculum covers areas such as, respect of resident's right to privacy, dignity, independence, promotion of resident's safety, infection control, psychosocial needs physiology and much more. You also gain plenty of hands-on-experience during clinical activities.

Program Objectives


After completing your healthcare program, you will be prepared for employment.

What are some job duties of a Healthcare worker:

  • Accurately measures, records and reports residents vital signs and changes in the resident's condition
  • Monitor and document the resident's intake and output. Transfer and assist residents with ambulation and mobility needs
  • Report needs and changes in the resident's condition
  • Feed and assist residents with nutritional intake
  • Provides a safe client environment
  • Assist residents with hygiene and grooming needs
  • Assist resident with range of motion exercises
  • Perform non-invasive monitoring as directed by the RN or LPN
  • Reapply cannula and oxygen masks for residents already receiving oxygen therapy
